Wine & Yoga Club Social Circle Community Guidelines & Terms of Participation

Welcome!

The Wine & Yoga Club Social Circle exists to help women build genuine friendships through shared Adventures, meaningful conversations, and memorable experiences.

Whether you're joining us for coffee, a concert, yoga, a walk, a market, or something completely new, our goal is simple:

More friendship. More fun. More women saying "Yes!" to life.

We're so glad you're here.

Community Guidelines

Introduce yourself.

After joining, please post an introduction so members can get to know you. Tell us a little about yourself, where you're from, and what kinds of Adventures you'd love to join.

Use reactions whenever possible.

Unlike Facebook, every comment sends a notification to everyone in the group. Using reactions instead of replies helps keep the group enjoyable for everyone.

Take conversations private.

If you discover someone nearby or someone with similar interests, send her a private message.

Real friendships start with real invitations so try to offer an invitation that has a date, time and place.  If you would like others to join we can put it on the Social Calendar.

Watch for This Week's Adventures.

Every Sunday evening we'll post the upcoming Adventures for the week.

Simply vote in the poll to let us know where you'll be joining us.

Once you've RSVP'd, you'll be added to a private event chat where we can coordinate meeting places, carpooling, and event details.

Plan Ahead

While our Sunday poll highlights this week's Adventures, you can always see what's coming up by visiting the WYC Social Calendar. It's the best place to plan ahead, invite a friend, and save the dates that interest you.

Adventure Costs

Many of our Adventures are free to join, while others may require a ticket, admission fee, reservation, or advance registration. Unless otherwise noted, members are responsible for purchasing their own tickets, meals, beverages, transportation, equipment, and any other personal expenses.

Any costs or registration requirements will always be listed on the WYC Social Calendar.

Have an idea?

We love member-hosted Adventures!

Send your idea privately to an Admin using the Adventure Submission form and we'll help you organize it for the community.

Community Expectations

Please help us keep this community welcoming by:

  • Being kind and respectful.

  • Supporting one another.

  • Helping new members feel included.

This space is for creating friendships, not your business:

  • No advertising.

  • No business promotions.

  • No recruiting.

  • No fundraising.

  • No spam.

  • No political campaigning.

  • No hateful or inappropriate content.

Admin reserves the right to remove content or members that don't support the purpose of the community.

2. Terms of Participation

By remaining a member of this group and participating in Wine & Yoga Club Adventures you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Participation

Participation in all Wine & Yoga Club Adventures is entirely voluntary.

You are responsible for determining whether an Adventure is appropriate for you and for participating within your own abilities.

Assumption of Risk

Many activities involve inherent risks.

By participating, you voluntarily accept all risks associated with attending Wine & Yoga Club Adventures and agree that Wine & Yoga Club, its owner, administrators, volunteers, chapter leaders, and event hostesses are not responsible for injury, illness, loss, theft, property damage, or any other claim arising from your participation.

Independent Meetups

Many Adventures are organized by members.

Unless specifically identified as an official Wine & Yoga Club hosted event, member-organized Adventures are informal community gatherings.

Wine & Yoga Club provides the platform for members to connect but is not responsible for supervising or managing these gatherings.

Photos & Media

Photos and videos may be taken during Adventures.

By participating, you grant Wine & Yoga Club permission to use photos and videos containing your image for newsletters, social media, websites, promotional materials, and future marketing.

If you prefer not to appear in photos, please let the event hostess know before the event begins.

Community Standards

Members agree to follow the Community Guidelines and help maintain a welcoming, respectful environment.

Wine & Yoga Club reserves the right to remove any member, without notice, whose behaviour is inconsistent with the purpose or values of the community.

Privacy

Members are expected to respect the privacy of others.

Please do not share another member's personal information, phone number, or photographs outside the community without their permission.

No Solicitation

The Social Circle exists for friendship and community.

Using the group to advertise businesses, recruit clients, sell products, fundraise, or promote unrelated events is not permitted without written permission from Wine & Yoga Club.

Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

Continued participation in the Social Circle constitutes acceptance of the current version.
